Way to go, Dakota!
One week ago today, on Wednesday, October 12,
Dakota did her roundoff-backhandspring all by herself.
Dakota did her roundoff-backhandspring all by herself.
Her joy was a blessing to everyone at the gym.
It was a great moment!

What is Aim High Academy?
Aim High Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering gymnastics classes to urban children and youth in the North Tulsa community. It is our belief that a child's participation in a meaningful activity will result in that child's acquiring many skills, values, and physical fitness levels that will help lead him/her to a successful life.
Currently over 170 boys and girls are enrolled in classes, many taking two or three classes weekly. Our classes are offered to boys and girls beginning at age 2. Beginning at age 4 boys may enroll in a FAST class (FlippingAgilityStrengthToughness), which is designed to help develop the all-around athlete. As girls progress in their gymnastics skills, they may be asked to join the girls team, which competes in TAG (Tulsa Area Gymnastics) meets.
Along with teaching gymnastics skills, our ministry seeks to incorporate Jesus in all we do. Every class ends with a group prayer and each child states, "God made me special" before getting a stamp on his/her hand or foot. Showing the unconditional love of Christ to each child each time he/she is in the gym is of utmost importance to us.
Every opportunity is sought in which we can encourage each child to live up to his/her full potential and become a responsible citizen. School achievement is encouraged; we offer tutoring one night weekly to any student or family member of a student who needs help with schoolwork. We encourage parents to take an active role in school activities.
This past spring our team girls, on their own volition, chose "All for God" as their team motto.
We believe we are making a difference in the lives of the children we serve.
