AIM HIGH FUNDRAISER

The fundraiser at Mod's Coffe & Crepes was a great success...and so much fun too!
We thank all of you who supported Aim High in this event.

Our kids did a great job promoting the fundraiser!

It's not often
people see children
flipping on the streets
of downtown Tulsa!

Many who attended enjoyed the wonderful crepes...
and everyone enjoyed the delicious gelato!!!

Since Aim High Academy is a nonprofit organization,
fundraising is of utmost importance!

Thank You, Mod's Coffee & Crepes!!!

Praying for Dakota

One of our precious team members, Dakota,
was injured in a car wreck last Saturday.

She has had two surgeries
and she is now recovering at her home.
Please pray for her and her family.
The Aim High team will be making a card for her today in practice.
We love you, Dakota!

MEET AYDEN...

Ayden started coming to Aim High Academy
to watch his sister, Taylor, take her gymnastics class.
He soon joined our FAST class for boys
(Flipping, Agility, Strength, & Toughness).

The FAST classes are taught by volunteers
who have backgrounds in various types of sports.

In addition to assisting with the FAST classes, one of our volunteers, Damontay,
has been a mentor to Ayden since Fall 2011.
Damontay supports Ayden by going to his basketball games
and helps him memorize Bible verses.
Ayden's time with Damontay is important to Ayden
because he does not have a father who is active in his life.

AIM HIGH STUDENTS INSPIRED BY 2012 OLYMPICS

The work is just getting started for our students
who aspire to reach greatness!
Gymnastics students at Aim High Academy in North Tulsa now have a new hero,
Olympic gold medal winner Gabby Douglas.

Gabby Douglas, All-Around Gold Medalist

Coach Jennifer with Aim High's D'Rijah

D’Rijah Smith started doing gymnastics 4 years ago.
The sport has empowered her and made her more confident to try and make mistakes.
“If you want to try it, go ahead - don’t be afraid,” she said.
“If you don’t get it the first time, keep trying, and you’ll be able to get it,” Smith said.
She gets excited watching her new hero Douglas,
“I look at her as a role model; she’s really good.”

“Some of these kids have some big dreams - they want to be the next Gabby Douglas,
the next Jordan Wieber, the next Aly Raisman,”
Aim High Academy's Founder and Director Jennifer Patterson said.
“You know it has motivated them - it has inspired them.”
