National Gymnastics Day

Aim High Academy celebrated  with an open house!

The children who attended had a great time!

Each child was a "winner" and received an award.

Gymnastics at Aim High Academy is so much fun!

We love our students!

We finally have stall bars!

We appreciate

whose wonderful grant 

enabled us to purchase these stall bars!

Stall bars are an excellent tool 
for developing strength, conditioning, and flexibility.
Gymnasts can hang from a higher bar with their back facing the bar 
and perform abdominal exercises, or hang facing the bar to stretch their back.

Bittersweet Friday

Friday, July 25, was a bittersweet day at Aim High.

Kiona walked into her first gymnastics class at Aim High in the fall of 2007.

Friday was her last day at Aim High, as her family is moving to Georgia.

The past 7 years, we have witnessed Kiona gain confidence, grow in faith,

become the Level 7 State All-Around Champion

and place 4th All-Around out of 7 states at Regionals.

She has been a leader and a true joy to coach.

She will always be loved by her Aim High family

and we rejoice knowing her family will all be reunited due to this move.

We know God has great plans for Kiona.

Camp was great!

The girls learned new skills and enjoyed the interaction

with so many great coaches.

they managed to have lots of fun in their free time:

In addition to learning new gymnastics skills,

meeting and working with great gymnastics coaches,

developing their relationships with Coaches Elizabeth and Jennifer,

and having loads of fun,

attending camp together will help the girls to bond as a team,

develop their social skills,

grow in confidence and self-respect,

and grow in character.

 

We are thankful our girls were able to have such a wonderful experience!
